There are countless examples of people who started a new healthy eating plan but fail to stick to it. They either don’t have the time to prepare healthy meals every day, or they lack determination, or maybe they just easily give up when things get tough. Apply this to your situation. I know that quitting is sometimes the easy way out, but don’t make excuses, be greater than that. Everything you need is inside of you. You simply need to tap into your inner strength. I’ve come up with a list of 10 reasons why you should never quit, and this doesn’t apply only to your healthy eating plan. No matter what you do, and regardless of the problems you face, never quit striving to achieve your goals!

1. Dream Big and Believe

What you can dream, you can achieve. Remember that. The most unbelievable dreams came to reality for those who dared to dream, so why should your dreams be an exception? Don’t sell yourself short and think you can’t reach something. It is within your reach, you just have to put in a little extra work and be determined to achieve it.

2. You Are Strong

You’re not fooling me or anyone else. You are stronger than you think you are. Don’t think too little of yourself. Okay, it is hard to switch from eating a lot of fast food to a diet rich in organic, natural, wholesome foods. But it’s not impossible. And you do have the strength to do what you want in order to achieve your desired results. Remember that the setbacks are not failures but rather just lessons and stepping stones. Stay determined to climb those steps to achieve your desired results.

3. You Always Keep on Learning

Ramakrishna said, “As long as I live, so long do I learn.” What you learn will always stay with you. And that same is true when we talk about quitting something. When you don’t give up, you learn a lot from it. You learn about your strengths and your weaknesses. You make better, wiser moves. Don’t quit, keep learning.

4. You Have to Continue When You Feel You Can’t Anymore

feeling stressed, ready to quit

And you have to remember this…When you face tough times, when it becomes so hard to stick with what you’ve decided, when you just don’t want to make those healthier choices anymore, that is the moment when you have to continue. For you. stay persistent and know, it truly is the darkest before the dawn. You got this!

5. You Can Serve as an Inspiration to Others

When you touch lives of other people and motivate them to move, that is a reward in and of itself. You can be someone your family and friends can look up to. When your hard work is recognized by others, you have more will and determination to carry on. Get everyone on board with your new balanced and healthy eating plan. It will be easier for you, and your family will have the benefit of adopting healthier habits too. Be the role model and example for others.

6. The Harder the Goal, the Sweeter the Success

If you accomplish something with no effort, you won’t feel satisfied. If you put little or no effort in something, you will not cherish the result you made. So, if you want to taste sweet success, you must roll up your sleeves and work for it. There is nothing more satisfying than loving and nurturing your body after you have worked hard to achieve those awesome results.

7. Acknowledge ALL of Your Accomplishments No Matter How Small

Don’t think “Oh, it could be better”, no, instead of that, think “I’ve come further than I thought I could”. Why underestimate yourself? You’re better than that. It can always be better. Sure. But it can always be worse also. So, choose the latter. Acknowledge all of your wins; not matter how small.

8. Discovering New Paths

When you quit, you never find what’s next to come. So, I encourage you to never quit, but rather see what lies behind that barrier that would have made you throw in the towel. Maybe you’ll discover that things that are yet to come work in your favor. You can get stuck by the bump in the road, or you can catch yourself running down a new path of freedom.

9. You’re Not Perfect, and Neither am I

loving yourself and accepting yourself

Making mistakes is a part of who we are as humans. As long as we learn from our mistakes, the time, effort and emotions we put into something are not wasted. Accept that you’re not perfect and that you don’t have to do everything perfectly. If you cheat a little, perhaps eating some ice-cream or cheesecake when you “shouldn’t”, you don’t need to feel guilty. The real truth is that perfect doesn’t exist. You just need to be you, love and accept yourself, and move forward towards your goals.

10. You are Alive

I didn’t know if I was to put this as a first or last reason. If all reasons above didn’t persuade you not to give up, this will. Wake up, you’re alive! That is the greatest gift you have, use it, don’t waste it. Some people’s lives were prematurely ended, some wasted theirs not living to the fullest. That is why you need to fully live your life, don’t hold back. Nurture your body and your mind, define your goals and don’t settle for less. You are worthy of achieving your goals and living your best life NOW!
